Chapter 10

• Dante’s heart raced as he hung up the phone, the weight of his father’s disappointment pressing heavily on his shoulders. He turned back to the living room, the tension in the air thick enough to cut with a knife. Luca was still there, bloodied and defiant, but Dante felt a surge of anger and frustration boiling within him.
• “Marco!” Dante barked, his voice echoing off the walls. Marco, who had been waiting for further instructions, stepped forward, eager to please.
• “Yes, boss?” Marco replied, a cruel grin still lingering on his face from the earlier confrontation.
