Chapter 64

• A young man, battered and bruised, burst through the door of Sebastian's house, his eyes wild with urgency. "Please, you have to help us!" he exclaimed, his voice shaking with fear. "Zarek's men attacked us; they're beating people senseless... there are so many injured..."
• Sebastian and Alex exchanged a horrified glance, their faces pale with shock. Without a word, they rushed out of the house, following the young man back to the chaos of the protest site.
• Meanwhile, Adam had been watching the scene unfold from a distance, his heart heavy with worry. He had told Adeline to stop Zarek, but why hadn't she acted? He couldn't shake the feeling that something was terribly wrong.
