Chapter 12
- Scarlett shivered as she heard his voice. She resolved to apologize to him but he was not taking a chance to look at her or hear whatever she had to say.
- He rushed over to his daughter as she lay unconscious. Doctor Ezra came in just then.
- "I heard you were around and I decided to come over," he began smiling sheepishly, as though he sought some kind of favor from Lucas.
