Chapter 7 William Lawson
- Six months later, Danny and Naomi met again in court. After the gavel fell, they were officially divorced, and the atmosphere in the room was full of mixed feelings.
- "Naomi, I hope you don't regret splitting up with me," Danny said, a little dismissively.
- "I just hope you don't regret it, Mr. Spencer," Naomi replied. Because what she was getting rid of right now was not a weak woman who had nothing. In fact, what Danny expected from his mistress was not even a fingernail's length away from Naomi.
- Suddenly, a familiar voice broke the silence. "Honey!" Rebecca called from a distance.
- Naomi turned her head, her eyes looking at Rebecca with an expression that was difficult to read.
- "Naomi, this is Rebecca, my future wife," Danny introduced the woman with pride.
- Naomi was silent, staring at the two of them. She looked a little surprised, but she didn't comment.
- "Honey, I can't stay here for long. Let's go." Rebecca deliberately acted spoiled, wanting to provoke Naomi.
- "You go to the car first," Danny suggested. "I want to have a quick chat with Naomi."
- Rebecca looked a little suspicious, but she finally nodded. "Okay, then. I'll wait for you in the car." She walked away, leaving Danny and Naomi alone.
- Naomi was silent, looking at Danny with an expression that was hard to read.
- "Even if you don't ask for any property, I'll transfer it to your account. It's not much, but it's enough for rent and for your other needs," he offered, as if guessing Naomi would live miserably after separating from him.
- Naomi refused. "No need." Her eyes looked at Danny sharply. "I think you need more money. Your wife is going to have a lot of expenses, so you better save it."
- Danny was frustrated, and he couldn't help swearing. "What an arrogant ass!"
- "You don't have anything, but you're still like this. No wonder my mom doesn't like you!"
- Naomi was silent, looking at Danny with a calm expression. "Whatever you want. I've always been ugly in your eyes."
- Danny could only remain silent, looking at Naomi with a look full of disappointment. He felt guilty, as well as angry.
- "That's it. I have to go," Naomi spoke, her voice quite loud and carefree. She turned around, walking away without looking back.
- Danny watched Naomi.
- Without thinking, he followed her. He saw her stop at the side of the road, waiting for the motorcycle taxi that would take her away.
- Seeing this, Danny couldn't help but snicker. "You didn't even ask that guy for a taxi!"
- But what he didn't know was that Naomi had deliberately taken a motorcycle taxi. She wanted to feel a breath of fresh air, wanted to forget for a moment all the thoughts that haunted her mind. She wanted to feel free, even if only for a moment.
- Danny walked to his car parked in the parking lot. He opened the door and saw Rebecca already sitting in the passenger seat, looking impatient.
- "What did you do? What took you so long?" Rebecca asked, filled with dissatisfaction.
- "Sorry, I was discussing my future business with Naomi."
- "Why with her?" Rebecca asked again. "Is she blackmailing you?"
- "No, really," Danny soothed.
- "That's all right," Rebecca finally accepted. "Hurry up and go. Take me to the salon!"
- "Yes," Danny replied. He started the car engine, and the two of them continued their journey, leaving the court and all the bitter memories behind.

- After leaving the court, Naomi decided to go to a coffee shop not far away. She entered the coffee shop, enjoying the warm and soothing aroma of the coffee.
- Naomi approached the cashier and chose to order an Americano. "Americano, not bitter, Miss?" the barista asked, trying to confirm Naomi's order.
- Naomi just smiled, giving an answer that surprised the barista. "No, I really want something bitter," she explained, her voice full of persistence.
- The barista could only nod, giving an understanding smile. "Okay, Miss. Wait a moment then," he said, before leaving to make Naomi's order.
- Naomi sat at one of the tables, enjoying the solitude. She gazed out the window, enjoying the view of the busy city full of life.
- Fifteen minutes later, a cold Americano was placed in front of her. "Thank you," Naomi said, her voice filled with excitement.
- She sipped the coffee, savoring the soothing bitter taste. She enjoyed the solitude, reflecting on life and all that had happened. She felt relieved, she felt free, and she knew that she was ready to start a new life.
- As she was sipping her coffee, a man suddenly greeted Naomi. "Hi, Miss. May I sit here?"
- Naomi looked up, her eyes taking in the man standing in front of her. She looked confused, not recognizing the man.
- The man seemed to notice Naomi's confusion, and he gave her a friendly smile. "I see you're alone. How about I sit here?"
- Naomi sighed. "Might as well find somewhere else. I'm not in the mood to be teased."
- He extended a hand. "I'm William Lawson. You?"
- Naomi looked at William with a bored face and said, "I'm sorry, but I don't want to talk to strangers right now."
- William smiled kindly and said, "I see you're alone. How about I sit here?"
- Naomi furrowed her brows and replied, "If you want to date a beautiful young lady, you've got the wrong person. I'm not that kind of woman."
- William smiled and asked, "Oh, were you married first? Or... divorced?"
- Naomi sighed and looked at William. "I'm in the process of divorce right now. So, please leave me alone."
- William heard Naomi's words and pondered for a moment, then looked at Naomi who was about to leave and said, "Then it's not going to be a problem, right?"
- Naomi stood up with a flat face and walked away, ignoring William.
- William looked at her and smiled to himself. After all, he would find a way to get acquainted with that woman.
