Chapter 1 You Cheated On Me

• The atmosphere at Dany's sister Mia's engagement ceremony was very festive. After the event, still in the middle of the crowd, I saw Lulu, my sister-in-law, handing a thick envelope to Mrs. Spencer, my mother-in-law. I knew that the envelope must have contained thousands of dollars, and Mrs. Spencer, of course, was very happy.
• Nadira also made a big contribution by donating services from a fancy catering company. Everyone raved about the food.
• However, when it was my turn, Mrs. Spencer insulted my gift.
• I felt embarrassed and humiliated. Mia tried to defend me by saying, "It's okay, Mom, we have to appreciate whatever Naomi gave us."
• However, Mrs. Spencer was still not satisfied and blamed me for not giving a better gift. "Is it true that for such a big celebration, your brother and his wife only gave this small donation? It doesn't make sense!”
• I felt the need to defend myself. “If Dany wasn't so stingy with me, I would have been able to give something better, Mom. You should understand that Dany is the one responsible for my life.”
• However, Mrs. Spencer responded by blaming me. “That's why you should work hard too. Don't just rely on your husband. Dany's life is difficult because of you.”
• I was devastated by her words.
• Mia tried to defend me again, but Mrs. Spencer continued to attack me with insults. I was heartbroken and devastated. I could only hope that this situation would end soon.
• I could only remain silent, enduring the pain that was increasingly echoing in my chest. “Sorry, Mom, if I'm a disappointment,” I said in a trembling voice. I quickly got up from my chair, deciding to take a motorbike home.
• Dany didn't care about me.
• I went home alone with a heavy heart. I was treated unfairly and humiliated. If only Dany had been able to provide for me properly, none of this would have happened. Now, I'm sure a big fight is inevitable between us, since Dany always defends his parents.
• Just as I entered the house, my phone rang. 'Mr. Edward Corner', the name that appeared on my phone screen. He was the lawyer who had been helping me all this time.
• "Yes, Mr. Corner, what is it?" I asked.
• "Ms. Anderson, I have some good news," he said. My heart skipped a beat at that. "Your transfer has been approved. We won the lawsuit and your father's estate is yours. Diamond Galaxy is yours."
• Hearing the news, I felt as if the world had stopped for a moment. All that disappointment and sadness seemed to vanish, replaced with relief and happiness.
• I was grateful!

• Thirteen years ago, when I was 14, my parents died in a tragic accident. As a young and immature child, I couldn't be trusted to manage the family company. Therefore, the company was entrusted to my father's half-brother to manage.
• However, instead of caring for and protecting me, my uncle betrayed me. He stole my inheritance and threw me out of the company. I was left with nothing, becoming the subject of ridicule by my husband's family.
• Now, everything changed when my lawyer called. He informed me that the company's assets had been restored to my name. Everything that had been stolen from me was returned. I was no longer the poor girl who my husband's family ridiculed.

• After gulping down a glass of water, I felt somewhat calmer. I pondered how to break the news to Dany. I wanted to tell her that our lives were about to change. We would no longer live in poverty, and I would no longer be a daughter-in-law whom my mother-in-law could insult.
• However, when Dany returned home, the atmosphere became tense. He was furious and immediately accused me of causing a scene with his mother.
• We argued that night, and Dany chose to sleep in the living room, leaving me alone in our bedroom.

• The next day, I faced the same situation again, where I was treated unfairly and my husband only gave me the bare minimum, leaving me unable to afford provisions for the house or indulge myself in the way that Dany's family mocked.
• I wondered why the money Dany provided was never enough for the house. In fact, he never purchased anything luxurious or spent much on me.
• Out of curiosity, I secretly visited Dany's office. Having a personal driver made it easy to track Dany's movements.
• Coincidentally, that afternoon, Dany came out of his office. He seemed intimate with a woman and even opened the car door for her. They appeared to be going somewhere. My heart fluttered, questions filling my mind. Was this the reason why we never had enough money? Had Dany betrayed me?
• “Keep following that car,” I ordered my driver, pointing to Dany's car driving in front of us. My driver nodded and followed the car carefully, trying not to attract attention.
• After a few minutes, Dany's car stopped in front of an upscale restaurant. I saw Dany and the woman get out of the car and go into the restaurant. "Wait here," I told my driver, staring at the restaurant with wide eyes.
• I waited in the car, my heart pounding. An hour passed, and they finally came out of the restaurant. I saw them laughing and talking intimately, which made my heart ache even more.
• However, they didn't stop there. Dany and the woman got back into the car and continued on their way. I told my driver to keep following them.
• They stopped in front of a branded bag boutique. I could see them get out of the car and enter the boutique. I tried to watch them from afar, trying to figure out what they were doing inside.
• A few minutes later, they came out of the boutique again. In the woman's hand was a brightly colored shopping bag with the boutique's logo. My heart fluttered, questions filling my mind. Is this the reason why we never have enough grocery money? Has Dany betrayed me and spent our money on another woman?
