Chapter 25 Old Friend

• Megan and Rebecca had just arrived home, both wearing expressions of dissatisfaction.
• Megan started the conversation in a loud voice, as if to ensure that anyone around could hear. "Naomi really has no shame! How could she challenge you like that?" she said angrily, her eyes still flashing with unresolved fury.
• Rebecca reached out and took her future mother-in-law's hand. "Mrs. Spencer, you need to be patient. Naomi is probably acting out because she's stressed after Danny left," she said with a smile that seemed comforting. But behind that smile, something was hidden.
