• Hana called her husband by 1 pm. As much as she had wanted to call before then, she resisted. The only reason she was calling now was to remind him about the lawyer. She had to reply APS email today.
• Kyle didn’t pick up. Trying not to read too much into it, she held off on calling again. He said to reach out to him by 2 pm, it was only a few minutes then. Sliding down the couch, she rested her elbows on her knees.
