Chapter 16 Reassurance

• Aidric and Lee had fallen asleep cradling their mate. He tried to keep his hold gentle and loose. He knew she would have trauma, and he would do what he needed to help her heal and mentally get to a good place.
• He drifted off to sleep, content for the first time in a while. Her scent was pleasing and not offensive to his nose. Lee purred happily as he, too, fell asleep.
• His mate’s screams shook him from sleep, and he bolted upright, ready to protect her. His eyes took in his surroundings in a glance. There were no intruders present. He swung his gaze down and saw Jadiel curled in a ball, tears leaking from beneath her eyes, and her body tensing so much he was afraid her body would snap.
