Chapter 12 She's What?!

• The dinner was dragging on and Aidric’s impatience for it to be over. Both he and Lee wanted their mate, and it was torture to have to sit there and smell her and not be able to hold her. They also were getting angry at the way the pack was treating her. They could hear the mocking whispers and disparaging comments they were making about her. He hoped to hear her name, but no one mentioned it.
• It was saddening and enraging all at the same time. Not using her name was treating his mate as lower than trash. And she was not trash!
• He clenched and unclenched his fist under the table. His control was slipping. It had never been this hard before to maintain his indifferent façade.
