The next morning, the house was unusually quiet. Ava, feeling a bit disoriented from the previous night's events, slowly made her way downstairs to the kitchen. She had barely taken a few steps into the room when she saw Riley, already busy at the stove, flipping pancakes. Riley looked up, her eyes sparkling with mischief, and wished Ava a cheerful "Good morning!"
Ava's sleep-addled brain took a moment to process what she was seeing. "What are you doing here?" she asked, her voice still thick with sleep.
Riley's smile grew wider. "Well, I figured you might be a little sore after last night's... activities," she said, raising an eyebrow. "So, I decided to whip up some breakfast for everyone."
