• Dominic stepped forward, and Adrian's gaze shifted to him, a calculating glint in his eye. "I heard you introduce him as your investor, and also, in front of reporters, he said your relationship with him is just business," Adrian said, his voice laced with amusement. "Why, Ava? Didn't you tell me he was your... husband?" Adrian's eyes seemed to bore into Ava's soul, his tone dripping with malice. "Then why are you ashamed to tell the world, Ava? Or was it just a lie you told me, or was what you told me just now a lie?"
• Dominic's expression darkened, his voice low and menacing. "Stay away from her, Adrian." The warning was clear, but Adrian didn't flinch. Instead, he took a step closer, his eyes never leaving Ava's face. "What is the truth, Ava? Will you speak, or I'll tell everyone?"
