• Ava's phone rang, breaking the morning calm. She glanced at the screen, and her eyes widened in alarm as she saw the caller ID: Riley Hospital. Her heart racing, she answered the call.
• As she listened to the voice on the other end, her expression transformed from concern to shock. "What?" she exclaimed, her voice trembling. Dominic, who was about to leave, stopped mid-stride and turned around, his eyes locking onto Ava's pale face.
• He was confused by her sudden distress, and his brow furrowed with worry. "Ava, what's wrong?" he asked, taking a step closer to her. But Ava didn't respond, her gaze fixed on some invisible point as she listened to the caller.
