Chapter 10

• Ava walked towards the high-rise building, her eyes fixed on the signboard that read "Blackwood Group of Industries." She had heard a lot about the owner of this company, Dominic Blackwood, and his reputation as a respected businessman in the city.
• As she approached the entrance, Ava's attention was diverted by a small child standing near the road. The child, no more than 5 or 6 years old, was standing precariously close to the street, oblivious to the danger that lurked nearby.
• Ava's eyes widened in shock. "What kind of parents does this child have?" she thought to herself. "How can they leave such a small child here alone?"
