Chapter 40 An Impossible Feat

• Alex wanted to listen to Denise's explanation. After all, he didn't think she'd make such a stupid mistake as to lose these drawings by having them swapped for a few sheets of blank paper.
• Denise had no intention of giving any explanation, though. Looking totally unperturbed, she said, "Let's put this aside for the moment." Then, she turned to look at Xyla, asking, "Do you have a backup copy of these drawings?"
• A look of disdain immediately flitted across Xyla's face. She retorted, "Miss Lawson, surely you know that all drawings of jewelry design are made by hand? How can we possibly make copies of drawings that are made by hand? Don't you even have such common sense?"
