Chapter 40 Realization

• Freya had it with the stifled and depressing air around the recruits' yard. Even with the seclusion away from the pack itself, the recruits could still feel the depression of everyone in the pack. The death of an Alpha was a very big deal for every pack. It was a week of mourning, and it worked just fine for the recruits.
• The last test had taken a toll on many of the recruits, and coupled with the fact that only eight people remained from the previous test, the rest of the others were evicted as they lost the game. One of the team members who had found a treasure had killed his partner and ran off with the rare flower that was the treasure.
• They were even more tensed as there were now quite a few, and who knew what kind of test awaited them and how many of them would be accepted into the pack? For all they knew, it could be just one person. Hence, they needed some time to recuperate, pending the next test, whatever it may be.
