Chapter 34 Giving Lucian An Answer

  • As Kyriaki led Freya to her chambers, she was in deep thought about the events that had just played out. Freya's wounds were healing really fast after whatever elixir Hashima had given her. But how was Freya able to run with all those ghastly injuries she had inflicted on herself? She wanted to ask the questions, but this was not the right time. Freya needed her rest.
  • Kyriaki would admit that at first, she never liked Freya. She disliked Freya, especially the moment from the steamy stream when she got big stones to use as a bridge to cross the stream after most of them had already wadded the waters. She hated how Freya always had an expressionless face. Even though it was not directed at her, she found it condescending. She was delicate.
  • Honestly, that factor was what pissed Kyriaki off the most. She was a delicate woman who did not lose her femininity despite whatever reason which made her want to vie to become a member of Cintra. The rest of the ladies around looked like they had seen wars and had suffered a lot, and therefore, they merited standing to fight for a chance of acceptance, not someone who seemed like she had plucked flowers in gardens all day.
