Chapter 23 Karina's Decision

  • The man glanced sideways to Freya's side of the room, and while his face was masked, Karina could see the familiarity in his eyes. If she hadn't looked clearly at his eyes, the only visible things about his face, she would have missed the fondness in his eyes.

  • He watched him pick a piece of cloth which was like a belt; Freya always wrapped that belt-like thing on her wrist. It was on the bed; she hadn't worn it to wherever she wandered.
