Chapter 35 Karina's Return

• Lucian returned with a bowl and a towel. He placed them by the bed where Freya sat. Freya wondered how he was able to get a bowl of water, but she could not shake off the feeling of embarrassment that made her want to melt in a puddle.
• Lucian frowned at this sight before him. Was she scared of him? Her face was really red, and her heart thumped loudly. He did not know whether to be even more worried.
• "Clean up, I won't look" He turned away from her. He had thought about giving her a change of clothes, but she was just a mere recruit; it would be weird to show such concerns. He did not have any Recruit's uniform to begin with: even if he wanted to give her a set of clothes, he doubted his robes wouldn't drown her if she as much as tried to put it on. Compared to his huge body, she's quite frail and slim. Thinking about it at that moment, it was of no use to clean up and still put on the blood-stained robes. It defeated the purpose. He couldn't go back on his words now.
