• While I was cleaning a room, I remembered that Pierce’s birthday was coming up. He’s turning twenty-eight! I started thinking about what I should give him. What could I possibly give him that he doesn’t already have? I couldn’t afford to buy anything too expensive since I had drained my savings when I lost my job.
