• I’ve noticed something. I didn’t pay attention to it at first, but now that it seems to happen repeatedly whenever I visit Pierce’s house, I can’t help but notice it.
• I remember the first time I went to Pierce's house. I thought I was going to meet the rest of his family, but in the end, it was only Aunt Giovanna who joined us for dinner. It’s happened several times after that—always just Aunt Giovanna. This is probably my third visit to their house, and the only change is that, for the first time, we’ll be joined by her sister.
