• [ARIETTA’S POV]
• We rarely see each other due to our busy schedules and the distance between us. Pierce is in New York, while I'm here in Massachusetts. I'm busy with school since classes have resumed, and he’s occupied with work. Still, we make sure to talk whenever we can. Most nights, he calls me on video, and usually, I’m the one who falls asleep, ending our call.
• I glanced at the ring I'm wearing, which Pierce gave me the last day we were together. The memories of that day are still so vivid to me, as if it happened just yesterday. I smiled to myself.
