  • “All those words were just her deceiving me. I haven't done anything,” Sigmund said with an air of defiance. “Dad, you should know that audio recordings cannot be used as standalone evidence in court. The court can't convict me based on that alone. As long as I don't admit to the crime, I'm innocent. So, why should I admit guilt to protect your wealth and glory?”

  • With a derisive chuckle, Sigmund retorted, “How much of the Wachter family's fortune have I actually spent? Not even a tenth of it! Haven't I been kicked out of the Wachter family already? Slade and his son have both joined the corporation, while my children and I are left to fend for ourselves. The Wachter family is your family, not mine. What does it have to do with me?”
