- Soren hurriedly said, “Mom, what would you like to eat? I'll go and buy it for you right now.”
- “No need.” Stephanie's icy voice echoed at the entrance of the hospital room. “Mom, I brought you some oatmeal.”
- She walked over to Eva's sickbed, helped her adjust the bed to a more comfortable position, then opened the lid of the thermal flask. She poured the oatmeal into a bowl, picked up the spoon and started feeding Eva. “Mom, the doctor said you can only have oatmeal today. Tell me what you'd like to eat tomorrow, and I'll make it for you. I remember that you like ravioli. If you want some, I can prepare them for you tonight. We can have chicken ravioli for breakfast tomorrow morning.”
