Chapter 9 Mr Evans Is Awesome

  • As soon as the two girls in the front row heard their conversation, they turned and looked at Han enviously.
  • For some unknown reason, Han replied unexpectedly, "Be careful in the future."
  • Felix furrowed his eyebrows and the monitor interrupted him as he was about to speak. They were instructed to go to the quadrangle.
  • After they arrived at the quadrangle, the principal gave a speech and followed by gunshots. Sports day had officially begun.
  • After the both of them returned to their seats, Han took out an exercise book and placed it on his knees.
  • Upon seeing this, Felix wailed, "Can't you let me rest for a day, sir?"
  • Han replied coldly, "No."
  • Felix had no choice but to listen to Han's physics lecture on the sports field until it was time for the high jump event.
  • The sports committee member held out a registration form and called out the number. As soon as Han heard his number, he placed the pen back in his bag and stood up.
  • Felix stood up as well when Han said, "Stay here and finish up the questions, I'll come back to grade them later."
  • "I wanna cheer you on."
  • "There's no need."
  • Felix snorted and took out a bottle of water from his bag, then walked toward the stairs, looking at him stubbornly.
  • Han felt helpless and he put away the exercises and walked over.
  • Both of them reached the high jump area. Han wore his number and Felix stretched out his hand.
  • "Give me your jacket."
  • Han took off his coat and handed it over. There was still a trace of warmth on his jacket.
  • Felix looked at him and said, "I'll wait for you here."
  • Han nodded, then walked towards the roll call.
  • It was only a 3-feet jump at the beginning of the competition as Han started warming up.
  • When it was his turn to jump, the height of the pole had risen to 5 feet.
  • Han took off, lowered his waist, and jumped at once.
  • After getting off the cushion, Han looked at Felix.
  • Felix waved at him and called out his name.
  • It attracted so much attention and Han withdrew his gaze.
  • The pole had been raised to 5'7, and there were only a few people left on the field. All of them seemed to be professional aside from Han.
  • Felix looked at the person with long legs whose height was 4'9. A trace of satisfaction flashed across his eyes.
  • The pole was raised at 3 feet. Han and the other boy were left on the field.
  • The other boy glanced at Han and mocked him.
  • "Han, jump higher!" A voice was heard from afar.
  • Han raised his hand and gestured for Felix to stop.
  • "Since when did Felix and that weirdo become such close friends?"
  • Felix was handsome and became the most good-looking boy at school just after transferring schools for a month.
  • His facial features were perfect and manly.
  • Especially for his eyes, his pupils were sharp and there was an indescribable nobleness in them.
  • He was a shining star in every girl's eyes.
  • "Both of them sit together in class. I wonder if you know that Felix got into a fight because of Han…"
  • Lisa heard their discussions and a wave of emotion flushed through her.
  • The pole had risen to 6 feet.
  • However, the other student had no problems jumping over it, and there was still some gap between his back and the pole.
  • After getting off the mattress, he raised his chin arrogantly and glanced at Han.
  • However, Han was not affected by him and jumped over it all at once.
  • The teacher raised the pole to 6'4" and said, "If you manage to jump over this, you'll break the school record."
  • This time, Han chose to jump first.
  • The moment he jumped over it, the pole shook slightly, but it did not fall.
  • The other student did not know if it was pressure, but he performed badly and caused the pole to fall over as it was his turn.
  • "Mr. Evans is awesome," Felix said with a smile, then put the jacket on him.
  • For the previous Sports Day, no one cheered for him and he was always alone.
  • No one gave him water and no one helped him take care of his jacket. Sometimes his things would go missing when he left them on his seat.
  • Now that someone was with him, it seemed that the field had gotten more lively.
  • "I didn't bring lunch today, shall we eat outside later?"
  • Han nodded but kept silent.
  • "Let's see which restaurant…"
  • Lisa passed by them and overheard their conversation.
  • The both of them went to the street food stalls nearby when it was time for their lunch break.
  • Felix guessed that Han was not familiar with the restaurants nearby and could only walk around.
  • "Let's have pasta," Felix suggested.
  • Considering Han's stubborn temper, they would split the bill eventually. So, it was better to eat somewhere cheaper.
  • The both of them walked into the restaurant and ordered two large pastas.
  • Just as they sat down, Lisa and four other girls came in.
  • Felix sat with his back to the door and was wiping the table with a tissue. Han sat across from him and saw them enter.
  • "Excuse me, I'll have four dishes of fried rice."
  • "Alright, let's find a place to sit."
  • After wiping the table, Felix took out the cutlery and handed them to Han.
  • After a while, the pasta they ordered had been served.
  • "I can't eat that much." Felix gave some pasta to Han.
  • He also picked out some meat and offered it to Han from time to time.
  • Felix's movements were natural, it was like how they usually ate on weekdays.
  • Everyone knew about the rumors between Felix and Han.
  • So, Lisa and the others were also dumbfounded when they saw that scene. All of them did not understand why Felix was so kind to Han.
  • The both of them had so many differences, but Felix liked to hang around with Han all day.
  • Felix and Han finished their meals and left the restaurant.
  • Lisa poked at her food but did not eat a single bite.
  • The girl next to her said, "Han is so disgusting, how dare he say he didn't have Felix's number when they have such a close relationship?"
