Chapter 3 What’s Wrong With Han?

  • During class, Felix assumed that Han had not eaten for a day since his stomach kept growling.
  • At lunch break, Han ran away with his bag instead of taking out his lunch box.
  • Felix followed him and saw him walking into a restaurant near the school.
  • As soon as Han entered the restaurant, the owner of the restaurant yelled at him before he could wipe his sweat off.
  • "Han, do you wanna get fired? Hurry up, the dishes are piled up in the kitchen!"
  • Han placed his bag down hurriedly and went to the kitchen. He put on his apron and started doing the dishes.
  • Felix entered after a while, and the owner greeted him, "Welcome, what would you like to have?"
  • He glanced at the menu and said, "I'll have a seafood paella and broccolini salad."
  • "Alright, please have a seat." After the owner was finished speaking, she told the chef his order through the small window.
  • Felix picked a seat so that he could view Han's back from a good angle and looked at him.
  • Han had not taken a break even after Felix was done with his meal.
  • Felix looked at his timetable, settled the bill, and he went back to school.
  • "Here!"
  • Han stood at the door as he panted for breath. However, the bell had rung five minutes ago.
  • "Han, you haven't paid your tuition fees yet and you're late again! You might as well drop out!"
  • There was a burst of laughter as Han gripped the hem of his uniform tightly.
  • The homeroom teacher looked at him in disgust. If it was not for his top grades, he would wish that he dropped out.
  • "Go stand at the back of the classroom for the whole afternoon period."
  • Han went silent and walked to the back of the classroom.
  • "Sir." Felix stood up all of a sudden.
  • "Han isn't feeling well today and consulted a doctor during his lunch break. He told me to inform you about him being late to class but I forgot about it."
  • Felix turned his gaze toward Han, "Why don't you punish me instead of him."
  • Han paused his footsteps upon hearing those words before resuming his way to the back of the classroom.
  • Felix could not help but complain as he was walking.
  • The teacher did not dare to punish Felix. He cleared his throat and said, "If that's the case, go back to your seats and don't let it happen again."
  • The both of them returned to their seats and Han sat close to the wall. Felix pretended that he did not see Han's actions.
  • They had physical education with Tiger for the second period. The weather was incredibly hot outside and the class seemed unenthusiastic.
  • The person next to Han noticed the smell of grease on him and raised his arm. However, Felix stopped him as his arm was raised halfway.
  • "Bro, it's not that big of a deal, why do you need to tell the teacher about it? I'll switch places with you."
  • The boy was willing to switch positions and exchange places with Felix. He was now on Han's right.
  • The PE teacher blew his whistle, "Let's warm up before testing your stamina."
  • Everyone sighed, then the PE teacher clapped his hands and shouted, "Come on now, where's your energy?"
  • "One, two, three, four…"
  • Felix noticed that Han's body was trembling as the whistle was blown.
  • During the seventh exercise session, Han's face turned pale. His vision went black and fell to the ground.
  • The PE teacher rushed over, "What's going on?"
  • "I think he's having a heatstroke, I'm taking him to the infirmary." Felix volunteered.
  • With the help of the PE teacher, Felix ran towards the infirmary with Han on his back.
  • When he reached the infirmary, Felix placed him on the bed and wiped the sweat off his head.
  • "What's wrong with him?" The school nurse appeared from the curtains with his hands in his pockets.
  • "He fainted during PE class."
  • The nurse took his temperature and blood pressure, "He's suffering from heatstroke, make sure he's hydrated later."
  • Seeing that the nurse did not take their job seriously, Felix realized that it was bad. So, he asked for Han's address from the homeroom teacher.
  • Felix carried him into the taxi and went to the nearest hospital.
  • When he arrived at the hospital, he paid a nurse to watch over Han and went to the counter.
  • "Are you his family?"
  • Felix shook his head, "I'm his classmate."
  • The doctor glanced at him, "Not bad, kid. You're kind."
  • He clicked on his mouse and looked at the screen, "Your classmate is malnourished. I analyzed the test results earlier and found that he has stomach ulcers and is overworked. He needs to take good care of his body.
  • Felix jotted down the doctor's prescription and carried Han to the infusion room to get an injection.
  • Han did not wake up the whole time.
  • Felix called his driver and told him not to pick him up after school before ordering a cab on his phone.
  • After arriving at Han's house, he discovered a problem.
  • There was no key to the door.
  • If his parents were at work, he would have no choice but to book a hotel room behind their backs.
  • Felix knocked on the door, but there was no answer.
  • After knocking several times, he turned around to leave. Suddenly, he heard a female voice behind the door.
  • "Who is it?"
  • Felix shouted, "I'm Han's classmate, Ma'am. He passed out during PE class and the teacher told me to send him home."
  • The door opened in an instant and there was a woman in a woolen hat inside.
  • Felix placed Han on a bed and stretched his sore waist.
  • The woman stared at Han with her red eyes as she sat at the edge of the bed.
  • "What's wrong with Hannie?" The woman looked very anxious.
  • Felix opened the bag in his hand, "Don't worry, Ma'am, I've taken him to the hospital and the doctor said he suffered from heatstroke, and he'd already taken his medicine."
  • Looking at her pale expression, Felix concealed the truth.
  • The woman looked at Han in distress. She brushed his hair away and touched his forehead.
  • Felix saw Han's birthmark. Felix frowned, then his expression returned to normal.
  • Some time passed as the woman realized that Felix was still standing next to her.
  • "My apologies, kid." The woman got up quickly, "I'll get you a glass of water."
