Chapter 4 Who Did This?

  • Felix stopped the woman, "Don't worry, Mrs. Evans, Han and I are close at school. We should help each other out."
  • At that moment, Han's eyelid moved.
  • The woman grinned at Felix, "Thank you for taking good care of our Hannie at school, please tell me your name."
  • Felix smiled back and said, "My name is Felix, Mrs. Evans."
  • Felix left Han's house and went to the supermarket at the intersection.
  • Ding! "Likeability with Han increased by 10, overall likeability level is -40."
  • "I carried him everywhere all afternoon only to increase our likeability level by 10? Tch."
  • By the time Felix went back with groceries, Han had already woken up.
  • He set the groceries on the ground and said, "You're awake, are you feeling any better now?"
  • Their attitudes were normal. It was as if they had a good relationship at school.
  • Han frowned and was just about to speak when Felix looked at Mellie and said, "Can I borrow your kitchen, Mrs. Evans?"
  • He wanted to buy some ready-made food earlier but could not find anything suitable for two sick people. So, after looking around, he decided to buy some ingredients and prepare a meal himself.
  • Mellie did not know what Felix was up to at that time and thought that he was just going to wash his hands.
  • Then, she noticed that Felix was preparing a meal. She could only thank him, then went back into the bedroom.
  • "Alright, let's dig in."
  • There were three dishes on the table. He made porridge, chicken stew, and some vegetables.
  • Han looked at Felix, who was setting the table with confusion and could not understand what his motive was.
  • "Mrs. Evans, would you tell me how they taste?" Upon saying that, Felix was confident in his cooking skills as he was a skilled cook in his previous task.
  • Mellie tasted the porridge and found that the porridge tasted quite good.
  • Her eyes were filled with tenderness and smiled at Felix, "Do you often cook at home, Felix?"
  • Han's eyes were filled with sarcasm and said coldly, "His family has more than enough money to hire a housemaid, so they wouldn't need to cook for themselves."
  • Han thought that Felix would be embarrassed, but Felix only lowered his head sadly.
  • "My mom used to love porridge when she was alive. I've always wanted to cook for her when I grew up, but I never expected her to pass away before I could learn to make that dish."
  • Mellie glanced at Han in anger and patted Felix's hand pitifully.
  • Han lowered his head and apologized.
  • "Heh, how dare you fight with me."
  • Ding! "Likeability with target increased by 5, overall likeability level is -35."
  • It was almost seven when Felix left Han's house.
  • He declined Mellie's offer for Han to send him off, then he walked to the gate and called a taxi.
  • At that moment, a woman was on her phone while she passed by Felix.
  • "If I didn't feel sorry for that widow and orphan for that long, I wouldn't have delayed their rent for so long."
  • "I'll kick Han and his mother out if they don't pay up today."
  • Felix turned to see where she was headed and called out to her.
  • "Miss!"
  • The woman was still talking loudly, so he had no choice but to rush up to her and pat her shoulder.
  • "Who are you?"
  • Felix signaled her to hang up the phone, then asked, "Is your tenant called Han Evans?"
  • The woman scanned Felix from head to toe, and saw his uniform, then replied angrily, "Yeah, what's the matter?"
  • Felix took out his phone, "I'll transfer the annual rent of the house to you."
  • The woman felt skeptical when she gave him her payment code and did not smile until the payment was done.
  • "Please don't tell him about this, Miss."
  • The woman collected one year's worth of rent and felt happy. So, she agreed to his request.'
  • When Felix arrived at school the next day, he saw Han standing motionlessly in front of his desk.
  • He walked over and was about to speak up when he saw Han's table piled with torn pages of his textbooks and a burnt bag on the ground.
  • Felix finally understood why Han had to bring his bag while he worked on his part-time job at noon instead of leaving it in the classroom.
  • Anger flashed in Felix's eyes, and threw the bag heavily on the table.
  • "Who did this?"
  • No one answered him, and some people were looking at him in excitement.
  • Just as Felix was about to make a move, Han grabbed his wrist.
  • "This is my business, don't get involved."
  • Felix shook his hand off and said, "I made a promise with your mom, it has nothing to do with you."
  • He went onto the podium and took out his phone, "I'll give five hundred dollars to whoever confesses."
  • There was a commotion in class and people started to walk around.
  • "One thousand." Felix smirked,
  • "Two thousand."
  • Han gritted his teeth and clenched his fists.
  • "I know who did it." Tempted by the money, a boy spoke up.
  • Felix walked over with a blank expression, "Who?"
  • The boy looked at him nervously, "You must keep to your word."
  • Felix smiled mockingly, "I always keep my promises."
  • The boy took out his phone hesitantly and played a video.
  • There were bursts of booing and laughter in the video. A boy was burning Han's bag with a lighter.
  • "Scan my QR code."
  • Felix scanned the code and entered some numbers, then hit confirm.
  • He then quickly walked towards the boy and grabbed him with his left hand.
  • "Let me go! I'm not the only one who did this!" The boy exclaimed.
  • Felix sneered and looked at him condescendingly, "Believe it or not, I'll pay someone to have your leg disabled, and I'll call the police too. Let's see if you can be crippled faster than my dad catching me in the act."
  • After finishing his sentence, Felix threw him on the ground then glared at the whole class and said, "A bunch of trash who only knows how to bully someone."
  • Everyone was stunned by his malicious aura and did not dare to speak.
  • They were just a bunch of kids who had not seen such a scene before.
  • At that moment, the bell rang and everyone returned to their seats.
  • Felix pushed his bag toward Han, then took out his textbooks and placed them on Han's desk.
