Chapter 7 Signing Up for Sports Day

  • Felix's expression remained unchanged but began to complain silently.
  • "Why didn't the likeability level increase, you've already eaten most of the food, how stingy…"
  • I had to cook meals for you, do the dishes and get excited for you to finish your meal.
  • "System, do you know that you're full of bugs?"
  • "I know, I did it on purpose."
  • With such a difficult task to deal with, and a system full of bugs to deal with, he was getting frustrated.
  • After school, Han passed by a shop on his way to work.
  • He halted, then hesitated for a moment before walking in.
  • "Excuse me, where are the recipe books?"
  • The owner pointed in a direction without looking up from his tablet and said, "Over there."
  • Han walked over to the shelf and took out two recipe books and flipped through them. His attention was fixed on a section about nutrition.
  • He searched the contents for how to prepare meals for stomach ailments and flipped through them.
  • Ding! "Likeability with target increased by 5. Overall likeability level is 25."
  • Felix sat at the table and raised his head while he fiddled with his pen.
  • Then, he picked up a small book on the table that had Han's habit written down and checked it off with satisfaction.
  • The next day, Felix served Han roasted shrimp.
  • "Thanks."
  • Felix grinned and said, "You're welcome."
  • After they were done eating, Han took out a test paper and put it on the table.
  • It was a handwritten note by Han based on Felix's academic progress.
  • "Thank you."
  • Felix looked at the test paper, and his expression dropped..
  • "I feel that you're repaying my kindness with revenge."
  • Han's expression remained unchanged, "Whatever." He stood up after speaking.
  • "Where are you going?" Felix looked at him in confusion.
  • "To pay my tuition fees."
  • The money in his pocket was initially to pay for this month's rent.
  • Turned out he called the landlady yesterday, but the other party said that he was out of town and would not be returning for a while.
  • He was about to ask about the landlady's account number, but she hung up.
  • She had been rude about the rent before, but she was not agitated yesterday.
  • He walked to the office and knocked on the front door.
  • Han returned to the classroom after paying the tuition fee and found that Felix fell asleep on the table.
  • He sat down in his chair and was about to wake Felix up, then froze.
  • Felix's delicate face was bathed in the sunlight, his brown hair shone with light, and his eyelashes created a shadow.
  • His thin, elegant lips were beneath his perfect nasal bridge.
  • Catkins floated in the air and landed on Felix's hair.
  • Just as Han was about to remove it from his hair, there was some movement at the door.
  • After having lunch in the cafeteria, the students returned to their classrooms. Han was sitting upright, waiting for Felix to wake up.
  • He did not expect Felix to sleep until the afternoon bell rang.
  • As soon as he saw Felix sitting up, Han stared at the blackboard expressionlessly and said, "Bring the test paper to me tomorrow."
  • Felix smiled and was about to speak when the homeroom teacher walked in.
  • "How long has he been looking at me?"
  • "Three minutes and forty-seven seconds."
  • The homeroom teacher took out a form and said, "Sports day is next week. Everyone is supposed to sign up for at least one sport activity at the sports committee next week."
  • After class, Felix asked Han, "Which sport will you be joining?"
  • Han did not answer him. He took out an exercise book and started working on the questions.
  • Felix was used to his coldness, and would not continue to ask further questions if he did not reply to him.
  • During recess the next afternoon, the sports committee member came over with the registration form.
  • "Felix, which sport activity are you signing up for?"
  • Felix glanced at him and asked, "What are the remaining sports left?"
  • The sports committee put the registration form on the table and pointed it out to him, "High jump, shot put…"
  • Felix found Han's name on it, followed by 5000 meters next to it, and frowned.
  • He interrupted the sports committee member, "Did Han sign up for this event?"
  • "He runs every year, no one ever signs up for this sport, if he doesn't participate in it, who will?"
  • "I'll sign up for it. Let Han go for the high jump."
  • "You? You want to run for 5000 meters?" The sports committee member looked at him in disbelief.
  • "I can't?"
  • "Alright then, please write your name here."
  • Felix replaced Han's sport with high jump and wrote 5000 next to his name.
  • The sports committee glanced at him and grinned, then left.
  • After Han came back from the bathroom, Felix smiled and said, "Hannie, guess what sports event I signed up for."
  • Han gave him a cold glare, "Don't call me Hannie."
  • "Hannie, Hannie, Hannie," Felix chanted while staring him in the eye.
  • Ding! "Likeability with target decreased by 3. Overall likeability level is 22."
  • "Sensitive prick."
  • After school, the both of them walked towards the school gate.
  • "What would you like to have tomorrow? I'll tell my housemaid."
  • Han was silent for a while, then replied for the first time, "Boiled beef."
  • Felix rejected his suggestion without hesitation, "Why would you wanna have boiled beef? It's spicy and it's not good for your stomach."
  • Felix pondered, "If you really want to have beef, she can make you roast beef."
  • Ding! "Likeability with target increased by 5. Overall likeability level is 27."
  • The both of them reached the school gate as they talked. Felix glanced at him and bid him goodbye, "I'll see you tomorrow, Han!"
  • "Yeah."
  • Not long after Han left, a voice called from behind.
  • "Han! Han!"
  • Four girls rushed up to him and said angrily, "I called out to you and you didn't hear me!"
  • Upon seeing this, the girl rolled her eyes in disgust as another pretty girl bumped into her lightly.
  • "Han, do you have Felix's number?" Lisa, the pretty girl, asked softly.
  • "No," Han replied coldly and left.
  • "Who are you lying to? The both of you sit together in class, and you don't have his number?" The girl started a commotion.
