• SAMANTHA'S POV
• "How do you feel?" A voice calls out to me. "Sam." The voice is familiar. "Are you still asleep? Wake up!"
• I stir on the bed, obeying the order; my eyes fly open; the room is too bright. My eyes close on their own accord; taking time to get acquainted with the light, they reopen, and that's when I look around. I'm on a hospital bed? "Why am I on a hospital bed?" I mutter to myself. I can't really remember clearly the events of the last few hours, but I know I'm pregnant. My fingers roam across the bump on my belly...but it feels flatter. I look down. "Where is my baby?"
