Chapter 119
- SAMANTHA'S POV
- My legs move faster than my brain, and I jump off the bed; she doesn't come after me. I run to the door and start turning the knob and dragging it, but it doesn't open. My heart beating loudly, I turn around to run to the window, but Tiffany is already behind me; there is no way to run to. She wades the key to the door between her fingers as she counts her steps to me, painfully and slowly. I turn back to face the door, tapping wildly on the door and begging for help, but my pleas are swallowed up by her threats. My heart beats loudly in my chest as tears roll down my cheek.
- "Let me go, please don't hurt." I wake up until my eyes fly open and I sit up. I look around. I'm not by the door; I'm on my bed. Tiffany is not here, but I'm sweating, and my heart is pounding heavily in my chest. I slowly relax into the bed for a while before standing up and walking down into the living room. I don't know where Lily is. "Lily." She doesn't answer; I don't think she is back from the supermarket. I walk to the kitchen and help myself to a glass of water, but a movement in the gardens catches my attention; it looks like someone is laying there and watching me with binoculars. It can't be.
