• "You can't get married to Christine." She says. Her sweet smile is wiped off her face to reveal a more severe expression, her brows furrowed in, her rosy lips pursed.
• I sit back, feeling my heart rate pick up. I anticipated this too. But I refused to entertain the possibility. I knew there was a chance she would hear about my decision to remarry her mother and she would come to try change my mind.
