Chapter 12 Time Is Up

  • “When we first met, I was confident and fearless because I was alone in this world. However, after having you and Stanley, I'm no longer a fearless man. That's why you misunderstood my restraint as cowardice, and I don't blame you for that. But please take a good look at me as I return to my original identity.”
  • With that, Alex wiped the blood off his lips as a vicious look crept into his eyes.
  • The way he carried himself had changed—it was as if he had transformed into a god of war.
  • The temperature in the hall dropped, and everyone found themselves shivering.
  • Heather's heart raced as if she was looking at Alex for the first time in her life.
  • It was as though Alex had gone back in time—back to how he was many years ago.
  • The confidence he now had was what she yearned for in him.
  • Walt and the others were stunned by Alex's demeanor, and they furrowed their brows.
  • “A good-for-nothing will always be a good-for-nothing. No matter what you do, Heather has already become mine today,” Walt taunted as he stared at Alex. “It feels terrible to see your woman putting on a ring from another man and sharing the wedding drink with another man, right?”
  • Walking closer to Alex, he hissed, “Not only do I want to make your woman drink that wedding wine with me, but I also want to put her in the spotlight. On the other hand, you'll only be able to watch on helplessly. It won't matter how angry you become. You're just a piece of trash. A loser. What right do you have to compete against me for a woman?”
  • Then, Walt clapped his hand. Five burly men instantly appeared.
  • They all looked at Heather from head to toe with lecherous gazes.
  • Everyone was taken aback when they saw the five men, and they were left wondering what Walt was trying to do.
  • “These five men are the ones who will make you a cuckold. You can watch the live broadcast in the room in a while, or you can stay here to watch the projection of the show. I'm sure you'll be enamored with these five men's show. Hahaha!”
  • Walt was laughing boisterously as the delight of vengeance filled him.
  • “What do you mean, Walt?” Heather whispered in shock. Even if she was the dumbest person in the world, she could still sense the malicious tone in Walt's words.
  • “Do you feel helpless? Devasted? Miserable?”
  • Walt turned to Heather with a savage look. “Heather, you think too highly of yourself. Did you think I want you because I don't have any woman? You're just a leftover, and I don't even want to f*ck you! These five men are the ones who are going to f*ck you. That's not all. I'm also going to record the entire process and upload it on the internet to show the whole world what the girl who used to be popular in school has become. Enjoy your time later. Hahaha!”
  • Walt continued laughing maniacally. He had never felt such joy in his life before.
  • How dare you reject me back then? I'm going to make you suffer my wrath and revenge!
  • Chills ran down the spines of the others when they registered Walt's words.
  • At the same time, Heather staggered. It felt as though her soul had been snatched out of her.
  • Her face had turned ashen as despair gripped her heart.
  • She never expected Walt to be so cruel.
  • How was she going to keep living after this?
  • The only path that awaited her after this was death.
  • Heather's mind had blanked out as her heart sank to the bottom of her stomach.
  • Walt then lifted a glass of red wine and joyously took a sip from it.
  • Then, he took out a cigar and let the server light it. After inhaling once, he blew the smoke at Alex.
  • “Alex, say, how is a piece of trash like you going to fight against me? Hahaha!”
  • You have three more minutes left. Do continue to play cool,” Alex started as he stared at Walt coldly. He sneered as he took out his phone to send a message. “Three minutes later, you'll be begging for death, so cherish your last three minutes of happiness.”
  • “You? Making me beg for death?” Walt stiffened before giving Alex a look he reserved for idiots. As he stuck his finger into his ear to dig it, he said, “Is that what you said? I didn't hear you properly.”
  • “Mr. Wallace, he said he's going to make you beg for death three minutes later!” Hannah repeated before bursting into laughter.
  • Walt took another puff of the cigar before blowing the smoke at Alex's face again. When he spoke, his voice was dripping with contempt. “What are you going to make me beg for death with? With this mouth of yours? Hahaha! A king of horsesh*t!”
  • At that, everybody started guffawing as they looked in a way one would at fools.
  • The good-for-nothing has lost his mind in the midst of his anger!
  • “Come on, come on. Start your show! Let me find out how you're going to make me beg for death!”
  • Alex only glanced at his watch and said, “Two more minutes left.”
  • “Sure, I'll wait.” Alex chuckled. As expected, he was going to take his time messing with Alex.
  • “One more minute,” Alex said after a while.
  • “Come, folks, let's count down for him!” Walt exclaimed, prompting the others to join him.
  • “Fifty-nine! Fifty-eight! Fifty-seven!”
  • Everyone had chimed in as they all gazed at Alex with ridicule in their eyes.
  • He wants to play cool, doesn't he? Let's all play along, then! Let's see how this idiot's going to get out of this.
  • “Ten! Nine!”
  • In no time, they were chanting, “Two! One!”
  • “Time's up!”
  • There were smug grins on the faces of Walt and the rest, but Alex calmly said, “You're right. Time's up.”
