Chapter 54

  • Mr. Blaise stood behind the rope with other spectators, watching intently as the male golfer walked to where the ball was situated. Mr. Blaise knew he was leaving the place if the tall golfer lost again.
  • The man had been hitting the ball out of the par and to places that were completely out of bound; it made Mr. Blaise tired of watching him make the same clumsy mistake over and over again. Besides, the sport had been going on for an hour and Mr. Blaise felt he had spent so much time already.
  • With his eyes fixed squarely on the golfer, he watched as the man stood directly behind the ball, his hands gripping the club tightly as he stared at the Green where the white flag was standing erect.
