Chapter 12

• Liam fell to the soft bedding with a heavy thud, a sigh of relief escaping his lips as he stretched his taut limbs. It had only been two days since they arrived in California but it felt like a year to Liam. Ever since their arrival, it had been from one exhibition to the other, meeting clients and examining their samples for investment.
• Now, they had just returned from a trade fair that evening and Liam was really exhausted. Though having to travel to different places was fun, Liam dreaded the work he had to do. None of the exhibitions had piqued his interest, and he had been bored out of his mind throughout the trade fair event. It was a total relief to finally have some time to himself. 
• He rolled to his back and placed a hand over his head as he stared at the white ceiling of the hotel room. He could still remember how Anastacia had been so quiet and moody throughout the flight to California and how she had made him carry all of their luggage to the hotel she had chosen.
