Chapter 51

Anastacia couldn't do this anymore; not when she had a portable striped jewelry case sitting comfortably on her desk. She had tried to focus on other things rather than drafting out plans upon plans on how she would offer it to Liam but she couldn't concentrate. Her mind was filled with the tiny object she had in her jewelry case.
She had gone ahead to purchase it early that morning, after so much conviction, and hoped to give it to Liam at night, since she intended to spend the night with him at his apartment. But she couldn't wait anymore. The gnawing pain of anxiety was eating her up and the more she remained at her office, the more anxious she got.
Anastacia let out a big sigh, her eyes fixed on the beautiful case before her. Would this go well? Was she rushing things? How would he react?
