Chapter 37

• "Stacia?" He called out and something shook inside her. She stared at him wordlessly and before he could speak again, she had already jumped into his arms, making him stagger a bit from her unexpected violent hug. Her arms wrapped around his waist, pulling him closer even when she could feel his stiffness.
• "Are you okay?" He asked softly and the softness in his voice made her so emotional, she began to sob heavily in his chest.
• He was the one who had just lost someone dear to him yet he was still concerned enough to ask if she was alright. She felt so much pain and love for him, her heartbreaking from all he had gone through. The wish to protect and nurse him, taking all of his pain and being there for him, consumed her as she sobbed.
