• The mansion was quiet when Eena returned from work. Her footsteps echoed against the marble floor as she walked through the foyer.
• She climbed the stairs slowly, her legs heavy from the long day. Her shoulders ached, and her eyes burned from staring at the computer screen for hours. All she wanted was to shower, crawl into bed, and forget that Carlos Castillo existed for a few hours.
