• He retraced his steps and folded his arms against his chest. "I see you've forgotten your place. Step aside." His voice was cold and firm.
• "Will you please hear me out?" Her voice remained firm.
• Carlos leaned closer and grabbed her with both hands, shifting her by the corner. "This is where you belong" he let out like a whisper. "You have no right whatsoever to say a word to me. I advise you shut your mouth and swallow whatever it is you have in it."
