Chapter 38 Losing Control

• Still Mavericks POV
• You see, at first, I want paying much attention to what was going on in this room. I was coordinating with my scientist to get some work done before I cancel my deal with the Mackenzies. I want to take advantage of this deal before it goes sour, I’m pretty sure that their true nature will surface pretty soon, and this business collaboration will come to an end. But before that happens, I want my guys to make use of their lab at least for one day. I am pretty sure that they will find the missing component needed to complete that substance and make it potent enough to take down a lycan. We would make bullets out of it, and one bullet is all it would take to kill a lycan.
• I kept tapping endlessly on my phone, coordinating their mission. Cameron was trying to get her hands into my pants, but I was not in the mood for any of that. Actually, since I got scolded by Valerie, I think something in me broke, and now, I can’t seem to get it up for her anymore. She had accused me of many hurtful things which were true, unfortunately. I tried denying it, but she insisted on infuriating me more. She suggested that she was going to get laid tonight by that bastard, and that got me so furious but I couldn’t say anything to stop her, not when these guys are hovering around the house like hawks. I suspect that my house has been bugged, and even if my suspicions turn out to be false, I still can’t let my guard down because there are lycans everywhere in this city, and they are waiting for the right moment to strike.
