• This job will bring Valerie and I too close for her comfort. She will always have that fear in her heart that Valerie is about to expose her. She will never let her succeed, she will do everything she can to put a wedge between Val and I, she would use every means at her disposal to make her miserable in that company, she would do everything she can to frustrate all her efforts in the company and there is nothing I can do about it. I can’t try to stop her, I can’t even scold Cameron because of her, can I?
• That would simply cause more problems between them and also for me as well because I would be attracting the wrong attention to myself. Cameron has been betrothed to me since I became the Alpha, the king was here when I took over from my father and he approves of our union because he wishes to compensate her father for all his hard work and loyalty. Her brother wasn’t chosen as my beta, and her father was not pleased about it. That was why she was chosen as my Luna, and no matter how hard I tried to break it off, I just couldn’t do it because my father and the king were firm on their decision.
