Chapter 17 Preparing

• Still Valerie’s POV
• Janelle called and took me out of the house, and we met with a few of her friends along the way. They are werewolves too, I can smell it on them. I’ve never had time to meet with these girls, I practically spend all my time at work and in school. Who would’ve ever thought that I would still be fired after putting in so much effort in that damn job. I wish I’d never worked there in the first place, I wish I never crossed paths with Alpha Maverick.
• I think I’m the only one who thinks the Alpha is a jerk. Every other girl here wishes to be in Cameron’s shoes. They would give anything to be by his side. I’m amazed at the way these girls are spending so much money on themselves, just to look good for that rude Alphas party. For crying out loud, the guy is betrothed, he has no time to fool around with anyone of them and even if he did, I’m sure they would most likely get bored with his arrogant attitude.
