Chapter 66 (Trapped)

• The deafening roar of a car coupled with the slashing of heavy rainfall drew my attention. I groaned, exhausted. The bed in the apartment Alpha Valerio had offered me was too fluffy and soft, but right now, where I am lying seems rough, making it hard to relax.
• I groaned frustratedly but the galloping of the trunk’s lid woke me up with a jolt. Immediately I lifted my head, a sharp pain shot through my temples, making me gasp. My mind was foggy, but as my eyes slowly started to adjust to the darkness, I realized instantly that I was trapped inside the back of a car trunk.
• I could feel it, the car is moving damn fast as if it was the only car on the road. The engines purred like contented beasts.
