Chapter 42 (The Hateful Glare)

• I don’t know how long I slept but this time, I woke up feeling much better. I couldn’t feel any heaviness around my neck and I immediately touched my neck and noticed that the neck brace was no longer there.
• I can now move my fingers, even my body, with no IV stand or beeping sound. I quickly twisted my head to the side, the computer was off and that was when my gaze fell on the nurse sweeping the floor.
• She was so focused on what she was doing that she didn’t noticed I had woken up.
