Chapter 4
- I couldn't help but roll my eyes when I saw her excited expression. A wedding held at night? How mysterious is this Alpha, huh?
- "No need, you can pick anything," I waved dismissively, looking away. But then I heard her hesitant voice, causing me to pause in what I was doing.
- "No, it was the Alpha's arrangement. He wants you there in case the stylist needs to make adjustments to your dress," she explained. "Besides, I'm just your personal servant," she added, lowering her head, her voice slightly quieter now.
- Titling my head to look at her, I replied, "I don't need a personal servant, I'm fine on my own."
- "Please," she immediately kneeled in front of me, clenching the duvet, surprising me.
- Instead of excitement, she seemed afraid. "I'm sorry for annoying you or making you uncomfortable. But please, don't send me away," she pleaded, tears welling up in her eyes.
- I was touched by her tears, but my confusion deepened. "If Alpha Lucius finds out that you rejected my service, he'll punish me," she said, her voice filled with fear.
- Sighs. I've been in this position ***Omega*** so I understand what she's scared of. But it still feels strange to have someone serving me or addressing me as *ma'am* after all these years.
- “But I just wanted….
- "Please," a tear slid down her face, and she seemed genuinely scared, which touched my heart.
- I know what I am going through so I don't want someone going through that same pain because of me.
- Letting out a sigh, I mumbled, "Okay." I stood. As I did, I noticed that her smiles had returned.
- ********
- It wasn't long before we found ourselves inside the bridal boutique shop. The stylist greeted me with a polite smile, which I returned with a nod. As I glanced around at the beautiful varieties of wedding dresses displayed in the showroom, all I felt was bitterness and pain, despite the supposed happiness of the occasion by the pack members.
- "Have you seen anyone you love?" Aurora whispered beside me, bringing me back to reality.
- "That one," I blurted out, my hand involuntarily pointing at it immediately unknowingly.
- "That," I could hear the distaste in the stylist's voice. "It's too simple," she pouted.
- "Please, do you mind choosing another one?" she forced out an awkward laugh. Looking at her, I shook my head. I don't even like that I'm doing this, and now she wants me to pick another one?
- "I... I don't think Alpha Lucius will be pleased with that," she murmured, fiddling with her shirt.
- Are they this scared of him… then what should I do then, die?
- "What about this one?" Aurora excitedly giggled beside me, pointing at a dress at the extreme. I looked at it, and the uniqueness drew me toward it. I ran my hands on the fabric, savoring its texture. As I stood there, I could hear murmuring from a meter away from where I was standing.
- Three teenagers, almost my age, were chatting away and giggling nearby. I didn't realize I had been staring at them for so long until Aurora's voice snapped me out of it. "Don't mind those three gossips... That's just how they always behave," she reassured me.
- How I long to be this happy in life.
- "Hmm," I forced out a smile and shifted my attention back to the dress. But my ears were curiously tuned in, eager to catch snippets of their conversation.
- "Wow! I heard that Alpha Valerio Hawthorne will be coming to this year's moonlit feast celebration," one of them exclaimed, giggling. Earning an excited gasp from the other two.
- “Oh! my gosh….. I can't wait,” they giggled.
- Alpha Valerio Hawthorne..... There's something about that name that gives me a jolt of electrical goosebumps. Who is he?
- The name gives me a warm, exciting sensation, like something in me is also eager to see him.
- This is strange**
- My body is already starting to feel hot, what is wrong with me? I turned by my side to see that Aurora’s attention wasn’t on me.
- And that was a good opportunity for me to move to the three girls and find out who Alpha Valerio Hawthorne is. But before I could make a move, the stylist’s voice interrupted me, causing me to stop dead in my tracks.
- “You love the dress, right?" She said, coming to stand beside me.
- " Hmmm.” I trailed my gaze off from the three girls before turning to flash the stylist an awkward smile.
- Which she returned before continuing with her over hyping words. I forced out a smile, looking away.
- Everything she was saying sounded like water splashing on the rock, my whole attention was on those girls.
- I needed answers but how do I walk up to them without looking like a weird person?
- According to them, I am the soon to be wife of their Alpha, so how do I ask the question that is in my mind without leaving a bad impression?
- “I know that was the best gown." Aurora said, grinning as she walked up to us.
- “Then I will pack it up," the stylist smiled, leaving with the gown.
- I can still see the girls giggling.
- And from their body reaction, I can tell that they are so excited to see the so-called Alpha. I wonder what he could look like…. Will he also be an old man with no hair in his head?
- Or what if he is a drop dead gorgeous Alpha with a sharp jawline and tempting piercing eyes?
- Fuck**
- I gasped as I noticed the sudden ache in between the middle of my thighs as different sinful images of the Alpha flooded through my head.
- Aurora followed my gaze which was still fixed on those girls before letting out a sigh.
- “Ma’am, I told you to leave those girls, and let’s focus on the big day." She tugged my hand, pulling my mind out of those erotic imaginary thoughts.
- “Hmm…. What are you saying?” I coughed, struggling to push the images away from my mind.
- "We still need to get to the shoe shop?"
- “Why?"
- “Is your big day, ma’am," Aurora smiled, pulling me out of the shop. " My Mom told me that the bride always feels nervous the day before her wedding, so I honestly understand how you feel.”
- She laughed but I could only stare at her like she had lost it. Without much words, I followed her but with each step I took, the name kept flashing back in my head.
- ‘Alpha Valerio Hawthrone’
- Who is this man?
- This is beginning to seem odd to me, so I instantly whipped my head to ask the overly excited Aurora beside me but somehow I decided against it.
- I can’t be fascinated by a total stranger that I know nothing about. I should stop a ring like a wolf in heat, I wasn’t raised like that. Besides, not like knowing him will even change anything in my life.
- My life is already a disaster and anymore problems are something I don’t want right now.
