• The next day, Leonardo Hunt arrived in Manila.
• Unable to meet him in person, I asked Jadeborough to meet him instead. After Jadeborough returned, he informed me that Leonardo couldn't arrange for our direct return from Manila. Instead, he suggested that we go to Malaysia first and find a way back to our country from there, but not through official channels.
