Chapter 11 Game

  • I was in no mood to keep it up with the scumbag. All I wanted to do was to leave as quickly as possible. Thus, I ignored him and tried to walk around him, but he reached out to stop me.
  • My mood was already at its worst, and when he stopped me again, I had the urge to slap him again. However, he was warier this time, for he quickly grabbed my wrist before I could do so.
  • “I know you're trying to ruin my plan. I'm warning you now. Don't you dare try anything funny. Otherwise, I'm going to kill you and that insane woman. Get out of Sunshine Media and stop appearing in my sight,” Cary warned again.
  • I was about to retaliate, but my phone. Realizing it was a call from Julien, I waved my phone in his face and said, “Mr. Starck is looking for me. If you're not going to move aside now, I'm going to tell him that you're harassing me, so get lost!”
  • Cary scowled and glared at me, but still, he shifted to the side.
  • When I picked up the call, Julien's voice traveled out of the speakers and into my ears. “The usual place. You have ten minutes to reach.” At that, he ended the call.
  • My heart started racing after the call ended.
  • Honestly, I really did not want to go to where he told me to go. I hated the feeling of being lorded over by someone, but I could not refuse to go.
  • I owed him money, so he was the king; I had to be there whenever he summoned me.
  • Furthermore, he was sure to fly into a rage if I did not do as he said. Then, he would kick me out of the company. If that really were to happen, where was I going to find the means to go up against Cary and Sienna?
  • Therefore, despite my reluctance, I went to the place he summoned me to.
  • The hotel was not too far, so the cab ride there did not take long.
  • Upon entering the room, I sensed something amiss. There was a pair of women's high heels at the foot of the bed. Furthermore, I could hear sounds of running water and a woman humming a tune coming from the bathroom. My heart skipped a beat, wondering, Why is he asking me to come here if there's already a woman here?
  • The man himself shot me a cold look before uttering, “Strip.”
  • I'm not going to do that. There's a woman in the bathroom. What is going on if I were to strip? Am I supposed to wait for her to get out of the shower and catch me red-handed in a supposedly cheating scene, or am I supposed to let her watch a free show?
  • “Are you deaf? I'm telling you to strip!” he suddenly roared.
  • His shout made me jump, but I did not make any other move.
  • There was no way I could do it with him when there was another woman involved. A threesome was something I would never agree to. Even if it was not a threesome—even if she was going to be a viewer—I still could not accept it.
  • Hence, I shoved him. When I realized I could not move him at all, I bit him. He cried out in pain and shrunk away. At that very moment, I sprinted toward the doorway.
  • He reached out to grab me, but right then, the woman in the bathroom said, “Jul, I've forgotten to take my lingerie into the bathroom. Can you help me get it?”
  • When Julien heard the woman call out for him, he paused in his motion. I took that opportunity to dart out of the room.
  • Once I went out of the room, I rushed to the stairs and ran upward. Then, I hid in a corner in the stairwell. If he were like everyone else, he would surely run downward, which was why I had run up instead. That way, I had a higher chance of running away.
  • Indeed, he did not catch up with me. A moment later, while still hiding in the stairwell, I heard a woman cry out below, “Jul? Jul? Where did you go?”
  • Does that mean that Julien's gone? So he didn't stay behind to have fun with that woman in the room? Also, why did he tell me to come? If she has a nickname for him, then they must not just be ordinary friends. They must be close. Why would he ask for me to come if there's already a woman in his room? If it's for that thing, then he can actually continue even if I'm not there. Why did he leave?
  • However, a small flower of delight bloomed in my chest, and I cursed at myself for thinking like a madwoman. It's none of my business if he doesn't enjoy his time with that woman. What am I feeling happy for?
  • After twenty minutes, once I presumed that the woman was long gone as well, I went to the elevator to get out of the hotel. When I was passing through the lobby, I spotted a slim man sitting on a wooden chair in the lobby, reading a finance magazine. There was an obvious bite mark on his lip that was made by me.
  • My heart instantly leaped into my throat. Why isn't he gone yet? Hastily, I whipped my head to the side, praying to God that he had not seen me.
