Chapter 4 It Was Not A Dream

  • Situ Han pressed himself to her body. He tried a few times but to no avail. Beads of perspiration were dripping from his forehead, his hair soaked in his own sweat...
  • Chu Meng was baffled. What's taking him so long? He looks confused and lost! Could it be his first time? She shook her head to dispel such a ridiculous thought.
  • “I love you, Yunqian. Don't go.”
  • Chu Meng never knew it would be such an exhausting business; it baffled her even more when she witnessed his tenacity to last till the very end. He battled for one whole night before he finally let go of her in the middle of the night.
  • Chu Meng was equally drained as well, but she endured in silence until she heard his labored breathing and faint snoring, before turning around to look at him. She was completely blown by his looks. His high-bridged nose and soft lips, underlined with the angular cheekbones gave him a well-structured, symmetrical face. His muscular chest heaved up and down when he breathed, without an extra ounce of fat. She could feel her body flush simply by looking at him from the side. It would be hard to imagine what killer looks he might possess once he opened his eyes.
  • Nevertheless, she reminded herself that however smashing he may look, he would play no further part in her life, except as a mere sperm donor.
  • Chu Meng got off the bed and picked up the pieces of clothes littered all over the floor. She sorted out her own clothes and tiptoed to the bathroom. Her body was aching all over, manifested by the love bites and scratch marks that were all over her neck and her chest. There was no way they could go unnoticed given that low-cut dress she was wearing. She had to find a way to cover it up.
  • Utterly frustrated, she let out a whimper and was almost on the verge of crying out when she happened to see a men's coat folded at the side of the sofa, probably belonging to him.
  • “I know it's bad...I don't even have my bag with me. But I really need your coat. Don't worry, I'll give you a big tip when I return the coat to you in a couple of days,” she muttered.
  • Despite having the coat on her, it could not cover all the bites and scratches. She snuck out of the room. After retrieving her bag from the reception, she ignored the curious looks thrown at her and dashed out of the pub in a frenzy. She found a taxi at the side of the road and hopped in, her legs trembling like crazy even though she was in the cab; partly due to her nerves and the pain.
  • Situ Han woke up when the glaring sunlight filled the room. He turned around with a frown when he suddenly seemed to recall something and instantly sprang up from his bed. He flipped the blanket away from his body, but hastily covered up again when he saw his own nudity, especially the most private part of his body. He scanned the room with his pair of razor-sharp eyes.
  • The messy condition of the room only affirmed his suspicion of what possibly had transpired last night. Damn!
  • He was adamant that the girl wasn't Yunqian. How could he have done such a thing? He had betrayed Yunqian.
  • Shit!
  • He flew into a violent rage.
  • “Sheng Tiancheng, you'd better get your ass over here, right now!” he snarled over the phone at his good friend.
  • Sheng Tiancheng rubbed his ears as he sauntered up the stairs, yawning and grumbling, “What's wrong with you this morning? Barking around like a mad dog.”
  • Situ Han's face turned crimson, his piercing eyes staring hard at Sheng Tiancheng, like missiles ready for takeoff. “I know you're behind all this. How could I be drunk with just a few glasses? And without your permission, who would dare to come into the room?”
  • Sheng Tiancheng rubbed his nose before confessing, “Yes, I drugged your drinks and pulled that woman into your room. I cut off the electricity as well, in case she saw you and ran away. I never expected it'd turn out to be so smooth.”
  • “How could you? I'm your good friend!” Situ Han glared at him.
  • “Come on, it isn’t that serious. I was just trying to let you have some fun. What's the big deal? It's nothing but a one-night stand, what have you got to lose? Qiao Yunqian would never find out as long as we keep quiet.”
  • Situ Han's expression was torn between rage and discomfiture. How should he explain his awkward situation to Sheng Tiancheng? Should he simply tell him that he had lost his virginity? He was certain he would be mocked by Sheng Tiancheng perpetually for his entire life.
  • Despite being a tough guy himself, Sheng Tiancheng was growing uneasy under Situ Han's iron stare. He quivered with a timid smile. “Oh, I have almost forgotten there's something urgent. I'd better see to it first.”
  • “Hold on!” cried Situ Han, and held him back at the door. After a moment of silence, he finally cleared his throat and said, “You need to find the woman as soon as possible. I didn't use any protection last night.”
  • Sheng Tiancheng restrained himself from laughing out aloud when he read the queer expression on Situ Han's face. He could not believe his eyes - Situ Han was shy! He dared not twitch a muscle from his mouth, knowing that could lead him to be walloped badly by Situ Han. He scurried out of the room as quickly as he could. It was only when he entered the elevator that he burst into a wild cackle of laughter.
