• Days passed with me still in the hospital. The medical wraps around my body were gradually removed as my bruises continued to heal. There was no longer any discomfort when I twisted my body, and I could freely move the fingers of the hand that a certain asshole had stepped on.
• Around that time, after learning what the school thought because I hadn’t shown up, I sent someone from Jaxon's manor to inform the staff at Saint Lucas why I was absent. This was followed with a doctor's note, but Jaxon had already taken care of the matter, to my surprise.
