Chapter 23

• In an attempt to ignore them all, I looked up at the ceiling. I was momentarily surprised when I noticed cameras installed along the corners. Not the flashy ones that screamed "We are recording you," like those found near street lights, but the "subtle" ones with black ball-like surfaces.
• I didn’t think Saint Lucas could have agreed to have them in the school. But the more I thought about it, there was a good chance they were duds. If the academy was like the academies I had read about in other novels, I had a feeling the heads would not want to tarnish the school’s reputation by drawing attention to any (rich) student's negative behavior. As in, they would have never had cameras installed in the first place.
• But looking at the cameras reminded me of an idea I had over the summer. I wished I could have implemented it.
