• Ethan looked livid. She’s avoiding me. Temper flaring again, Ethan questioned her in a frosty voice, “Are you avoiding me?”
• Lauren calmed down for a while before looking up at him. “No, Mr. Parker. You’re a man of status. Aren’t you worried you might dirty your hands touching someone like me?” She stood up, her fear replaced by a dead despair. “Let’s go, Mr. Parker. I thought you'd be introducing customers to me. If this works, I expect you to give me back my daughter, just like you promised.” Then, she stormed out of the room.
