Chapter 367 I Can’t Marry You Anymore, Nancy

  • “I’ll only say this one more time. Get out!” Nancy made her point once more in an indifferent manner while her eyes seemed as if she would kill anyone who dared to piss her off. In the face of her daughter’s ill-tempered response, Renee could only sigh helplessly and leave Nancy alone. After watching her mother leave and close the door, she immediately gave Ethan a call, but to no avail, because her calls were all unanswered. Nevertheless, she continued to try dialing the same number again and again until someone finally picked up her call. Then, she timidly asked, “What took you so long to pick up my call, Ethan? Do you know my leg hurts again? Won’t you come and see me?”
  • Meanwhile, Ethan, who was standing in the corridor, appeared to be staring at the dark sky on the outside in a preoccupied manner. He used to feel guilty for her when she heard her saying that because he would always tolerate her mistakes no matter how unreasonable they might be. However, he didn’t know why he’d feel annoyed and disgusted when he heard that at the moment. Leaning against the cold wall, Ethan furrowed his brows and paused before he said, “Nancy, if your leg hurts, see a doctor because I can’t help you.”
  • “Ethan…” Nancy couldn’t believe her ears, as she didn’t expect the man to say something like this to her, but before she could respond further, she was interrupted by the voice on the other end. Ethan’s words came as a bolt from the blue to her while she nearly fainted from the shock. He then added, “I think we need to call off our engagement, Nancy. I can’t marry you anymore! I remember you have a plan to further your studies, right? When you get better, I’ll arrange a flight to France for you and take care of everything else over there!”
